So Ernie‘s been up to some very cool stuff at work. Yahoo! has launched Yahoo! Avatars, a way to create a more personalized pic representing yourself for their instant messenger client. I decided to have a go at creating an avatar of my own.

What you see is that I learned the hard way that I’m no longer part of Y!’s target demographic. Far, far from it. I couldn’t pull off a Y! Avatar look if Carson Kressley himself showed up on my doorstep and Spider-Man gave me lap dances all night.
I’m officially uncool

Tovarich, no one over 17 is in the demographic for this toy^Hol. There’s no facial hair.
Damn, that’s just scary. It goes wrong somewhere between the tennis shoes, the shorts and the long sleeve shirt. Scary.
I just made one and it looks JUST LIKE ME. Yeah, look at me, I only weigh 98 pounds.
Heh.
Doesn’t work in Safari, clothing choices are a bit limited from looking at the samples. I’ll stick with Dollz. Made those already.
The yahoo avatars totally rock, they are regularly adding new clothes and items to the avatar creators so thats not an issue. Its was an innovative feature to make the standard avatars into flash, so gives yahoo messenger an advantage… kinda. you can make your avatar look just like you as well, pretty cool i’d say. dollz suck, yahoo avatars rule !
You could also check out this special Yahoo Avatars installer. It auto installs new yahoo avatars for you, worth a shot as well.
