  3. I am told that tea is selling wholesale at 1.5 to 1.75 yuan per gram in November, 2004. (A friend has been travelling.) If my math is correct, this works out to be 8 to 9-1/2 cents per pound. If I knew how much tea is drunk domestically and how much is exported, I’d know what all the tea in China is worth, too; but I don’t… yet.
