I hadn’t kept my eyes on this since first trying it out some seven or so years ago, but I knew that VoIP (Voice over IP) had come a long way. Still, I’m surprised how usable the platform has become. In the past two days, I’ve caught up with friends in England and Australia over Skype, a free VoIP package. It works. Despite the oddity of talking into the front of my laptop, the calls went smoothly. They also offer an outbound offering, where you can call (at 2 cents per minute) out to a land line from Skype.
Try it, and let me know that you’re out there so I can add you to my list of Skype contacts.

okay, this is totally off the subject, but now that i’ve decided to make you a Sim, that means you have to live up to the Code of Blog Ethic and blog more!!! then again, i have been blogging less on my personal blog and blogging more on my Sims 2 blog. go figure.
The gauntlet is thrown. w00t – I am my own Sims2 character. Now I know I’ve arrived. Screenshots are greatly anticipated.
What’s your username? How do I find you on Skype? I’ve got it installed, but haven’t proven that it works yet.
