So you are there and all is well. Loved the Dilbert comic. Printed it out for Dad, who is playing golf.
I was making choc chip cookies to take to Clarksville, when I realized Ellie is allergic to nuts. After talking to Shannon once, Mick once, and Jan twice (thank you, cell phone), I decided I felt like typhoid Marry and so I'm going to put the cookies in the freezer for T'giving. I could have left out the nuts, but my hands had touched them and then touched flour, etc., that went into them.
The Blue Man Group is coming to Rupp Arena. I'd forgotten that tickets to them were Christine's b'day gift and that's why we came the earlier of the two weeks - well, that and Columbus Day. I am a space brain. Dad reminded me.
Talked to Joseph last night. He sounded fine, happy. Will be in Portland, OR, at conference this Sunday Oct 22 - Fri Oct 27.
Talked to Andree. She sounded fine, although this is a high, high pressure time in her grad program. She'd sent me my own library card for the Bodelian Library at Oxford. She'd had one when she studied in England and made a counterfeit one for me. I'm pleased and honored!
Charlotte sent this quote by an unknown author:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, 'WOO HOO what a ride!'"
Now THAT, plus your Dilbert cartoon, are how everyone should look at life!
Hope all continues to go well.
Loved seeing you.
Love, Mom
