We enjoyed your post a great deal. We are going to print it and take it to North Carolina for Aunt Yvonne to read.
Are you going to be in London for a week?
We were amused that you take cookbooks to read when you travel.
Dad fixed a wonderful (non-Weight-Watcher) dinner for us tonight. Lamb (leftover, from freezer, broccoli, packaged couscous that Dad doctored with onion and garlic. And wine, of course. We feel soooo blessed!
Love, Mom

"Potato croquettes, however, are quite popular in some parts of Germany." Mmmm... potato croquettes. Yum!

Christine's Favorites are actually the North Dakota church cookbook and the Sykeston, ND band cookbook. And my Southern Living cookbooks - I really like those. In case you wondered. Betty Crocker is just a basic staple. I have so few cookbooks compared to yours, it just freaks me out a little when they disappear.

Your wife is not only happy that you can cook so well (as she can cook herself), but she is *thrilled* that you LIKE to cook, since it is just a mundane task to her.

Yes, we can survive while you are gone. You need not worry so much. Stress is never a good thing.
