As for the buttercream icing...I once made buttercream frosting for 2 weeks straight. I was trying to find the perfect combo of smooth and sweet, without the icing being too sweet, if you know what I mean. After about 300 cupcakes and a plethora of butter, I finally ended up with a combination that I was happy with. Funny thing is though, I "butter-creamed" myself out, and haven't made it since.
